About Me

As well as being a qualified and accredited counsellor, I have a background in teaching and counselling in educational settings, as well as in private practice. I have supervised trainees in organisations and in private practice, as well as qualified and experienced counsellors.

My training is integrative, which means I use several different theories, including person centred and cognitive behavioural approaches. I try to use the counselling style and techniques best suited to you. Many clients find cognitive behavioural approaches extremely beneficial especially for help with anxiety and self esteem issues. I also use Mindfulness techniques.

My qualifications include a degree in Social and Economic Studies, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, a Diploma in Clinical and Pastoral Counselling and a Professional Stress Consultants Diploma.

I am an accredited member of BACP, I have regular supervision, work within their framework of ethics and practice and am fully insured.
